Fixed Assets

Real-Fusion's Fixed Assets module will help you organize your business with a set of tools and forms allowing you to set up charts of accounts manage budgets, create financial statements and much more.

This manual describes all features of the TOM Software FourD System 7 Fixed Assets module.  The Fixed Assets module is designed to process asset depreciation and assist in processing contract amortization.  You can calculate alternate methods of depreciation for a single asset based on different sets of books (or methods of record keeping).  Fixed Assets reports include depreciation and amortization schedules, a monthly depreciation report, an investment tax credit report, and a quarterly acquisition report.

The amortization calculation utility can compute, for any contract, the principal amount, periodic payment, number of payments, or interest rate, when given the other three variables.

Fixed Assets can operate either stand-alone or in conjunction with the General Ledger module.  With the General Ledger module you can post individual asset depreciation amounts.

Functions of the Fixed Assets module are explained in this manual as if the General Ledger module were included.  With the General Ledger module, you can post individual asset depreciation amounts during the End-of-Month Post Procedure.

In this application, you can use the file SEARCH key to search for unknown record numbers.  During File Maintenance or Inquiry functions, press the SEARCH key while editing a field that refers to another file, such as, set of books or General Ledger account number.  You can search the appropriate file record by record until the desired record is located.  The SEARCH feature is fully described in the PSFourD User Guide.
